Become a Volunteer Official at the CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown and experience Darwin’s best event up close and personal! All that is required is your time.

We are always looking for new Volunteer Officials who want to get involved – there are a wide variety of roles available that are vital to the safety and success of the event, allowing you to develop your skills and meet like-minded people. No experience is necessary as on the job training is provided by our Senior Officials, so become a Volunteer Official and get a taste of the Supercars action!

New Officials Program

CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown is offering motorsport enthusiasts the opportunity to be part of this year’s 20th outing of Supercars at Hidden Valley. The program is exciting with Supercars being supported by Porsche Carrera Cup, Touring Car Masters, Stadium Super Trucks and the best of local racing with Improved Production, Commodore Cup and HQ’s set to take to the track.

The 2017 New Officials team aims to introduce motorsport enthusiasts over the age of 16 to the world of motor sport officiating and the opportunities that it presents. Successful applicants will be trained in a safe and supportive environment supervised by some of Australia’s best officials. This new and exciting program offers successful applicants the opportunity to officiate, and experience the many disciplines that motor sport offers be it trackside as a flag marshal, in pit lane or form up over the three-day event.

Successful applicants will be supplied with the following:

  • (1) Guest pass to the 2017 CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown (Spectator Areas Only). This can be given to a friend or family.
  • Food and refreshments every day you are at the event as a new official
  • Officials shirt and cool bag
  • An invitation (1) to the Chief Minister’s reception Friday 16th June 2017

To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be aged over 16
  • Attend Officials welcome BBQ on Wednesday 14th June at 6pm where some initial training will take place and you will be introduced to your supervisor
  • Be available to officiate at the Hidden Valley Motorsports complex 16th-18th 2017 June between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm
  • Be an enthusiastic team player, willing to take direction and listen to instructions
  • Have written consent from a parent or guardian (for applicants under 18)
  • Be willing to cover your own costs regarding travel and accommodation

Do you enjoy organising and administration, or would you rather be a Marshal in the thick of the action on a track corner? There is a role to suit everyone!

Flag Team

The Flag Team are the Officials appointed to each flag point around the circuit, giving signals to the drivers while they are on the track. Their duties involve numerous jobs including rescuing drivers, assisting the Fire & Rescue Marshals, sweeping the track and assisting the recovery team. Anything is possible as a Flag Team Official.
